stonate sottovoce e ripetute sempre male.
Poi per televisione cantanti e varietà
dietro le rime facili delle pubblicità
valanghe di canzoni per il festival dei fiori
e ritornelli col playback, provare a fare i cori
a passi incerti nella musica c'entravamo anche noi.
Con gli anni della scuola, l'insegnante musicale
lui batteva il tempo sopra al banco ed io cercavo attento di contare
i primi quattro quarti per dividere le note
riuscire a riconoscerle ma poi sbagliare le battute e allora
radio accesa sempre al massimo, programmi no stop
frequenze americane sopra i tempi del rock
seduti intorno al giradischi, chitarra e quattro accordi
sgolarsi in compagnia alle feste fino a tirare tard, insomma
a passi incerti nella musica c'entravamo anche noi
mille speranze e poca pratica però non ci lasciava soli mai
era l'inizio e poi strada da fare quanta ne vuoima già col sogno di incontrare un giorno chi si accorgesse di noi.

lezioni interminabili di scale e di solfeggio
per imparar la classica e suonarla senza errori
però la notte in cuffia musica rock e nuovi cantautori
per poi formare il primo gruppo coi compagni della via
voce, chitarra e basso e uno che picchia sulla batteria
suonare musica ribelle inglese, la festa nelle scuole
provare e riprovare senza saper le parole insomma
siamo cresciuti con la musica, ci siamo dentro anche noi
poche certezze e tanta pratica si sa che quella non ti basta mai
dopo l'inizio vai la strada è lunga e non finisce mai
ma continuiamo con lo stesso sogno... fare la musica che piace a noi.
