La Crus are an Italian rock band formed in 1987 by Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi (vocals, guitar) and Cesare Malfatti (bass). Alessandro Cremonesi, who wrote many of the band's lyrics, was part of the group but never participated directly in its public life. Their sound is characterized by dark and introspective atmospheres, with influences from post-punk and progressive rock. Among their most representative songs are "Love is a Weapon", "My Generation" and "A Sunny Day". Their debut album, "La Crus", released in 1989, was moderately successful.
