On Thorns I Lay is a gothic metal band founded in Athens, Greece, in 1992. Initially known as Paralysis, then Phlebotomy, the band adopted its current name in 1996. Their sound is characterized by a mix of dark melodies and gloomy atmospheres, with influences from doom metal and death metal. Among their most representative songs are "The Serpent's Kiss", "Blood and Tears" and "Eternal Darkness".
