Alex Normanno nasce a Seregno il 27 aprile 1981 e cresce a Meda, nella periferia brianzola, in un contesto che alimenta fin da subito un rapporto diretto con la musica: il pianoforte, lo studio quotidiano, le prime esibizioni dal vivo e un immaginario formato tra provincia e canzoni. A fine anni Novanta arriva il primo riconoscimento pubblico: nel 1999 partecipa al Festival di Castrocaro con "Definitivo", ottenendo un ottimo riscontro e avviando una stagione di concerti in tutta Italia. Nel 2004 entra in finale al Festival Live Show con "Uccidimi tu". Il debutto discografico arriva nel 2014 con l'album "Non volo", che gli permette di delineare un'identità chiara, centrata su una scrittura intima e narrativa. Seguono "Canzone per te" (2015) e "Spiegami tu cos'è" (2016), presentato in anteprima televisiva all'interno del programma TV Bravissima. Il 2016 segna il primo ingresso stabile nei circuiti radiofonici nazionali con "Non c'è modo di scappare amore", pubblicato da Auditoria Records: il brano rimane per quattro settimane nella Top 10 della classifica emergenti italiana (#7) e il videoclip supera le 50.000 visualizzazioni su YouTube in undici giorni. Nello stesso anno pubblica "L'ultima volta". Nel 2017 collabora con Simone Tomassini per "Arcobaleno", presentato in anteprima su All Music Italia e distribuito da Artist First. È un lavoro che intercetta temi sociali, concentrandosi sulla difficoltà di esprimere i sentimenti in un contesto spesso poco disposto ad accoglierli. Tra il 2018 e il 2020 prosegue con una serie di pubblicazioni che ne consolidano la cifra stilistica: "Era solo ieri" (2018), "C'è l'estate" (2019) e "Peter Pan" (2020), quest'ultimo accompagnato da un videoclip che raggiunge 20.000 visualizzazioni nelle prime ore e l'ingresso nella Top 100 emergenti italiane. Da questo singolo nasce anche un progetto internazionale con due versioni in spagnolo, "Està El Verano" e "Arco De Luz", che rafforzano il legame con il pubblico di Spagna e Sud America. Nel 2022 pubblica "Sguardi che ritornano", mentre nel marzo 2023 arriva "Nuda Così", che in poche settimane supera i 35.000 ascolti su Spotify e raggiunge i 120.000 streaming in tre mesi, confermando la crescita della sua community — oggi oltre 100.000 persone — e la continuità di un percorso che alterna momenti di pausa a rientri dettati dalla necessità di raccontare ciò che cambia. "L'amore non ha soluzione" (2025), pubblicato da Auditoria Records e scritto insieme a Daniele Piovani con la produzione di Aki (Antonio Chindamo), rappresenta il suo ritorno dopo un biennio di silenzio discografico: un brano che affronta il tema delle separazioni adulte e delle incompatibilità che maturano nel tempo, inserendosi nella conversazione contemporanea sulle nuove forme di chiarezza nelle relazioni.
