Asta Kask is a Swedish punk band from Toreboda. Founded in 1978 as "X-tas", they changed their name to Asta Kask in 1980. In 1984, the band began working with Rosa Honung Records, releasing the album "Aldrig en LP" in 1986. After this release, the band broke up, only to reunite in 1989 and play a few gigs until 1992. In 2003, Asta Kask returned to performing after years of silence. In 2004, drummer Bjurre left the band, replaced by Dadde (of Wolfbrigade). In 2005, the band left Rosa Honung Records to sign with Burning Heart Records. In 2006, Asta Kask recorded their first new album in twenty years. Their punk sound is characterized by a strong impact and often political lyrics.
