Jean Leloup (born Jean Leclerc on May 14, 1961) is a Quebecois singer-songwriter and author from Quebec, Canada. Known for his colorful personality and unique musical style, he has earned a prominent place in the Francophone rock community. His stage name, Jean Leloup (which translates to 'John the Wolf' in English), was used until 2006, when he temporarily changed his name to Jean Leclerc. In 2008, however, he resumed the wolf persona, becoming Jean Leloup again. Among his most representative songs are 'L'amour est un oiseau rebelle', 'Le grand voyageur' and 'La fille du vent'.
