Hugues Aufray (born Hugues Jean Marie Aufray on June 15, 1934 in Paris) is a highly successful French singer-songwriter, best known for his folk and pop songs. After studying classical music at the Paris Conservatory, Aufray began his musical career in the 1960s, quickly gaining popularity with songs like "Les Feuilles Mortes" (1963) and "La Maison en Petits Cubes" (1964). His musical style is characterized by catchy melodies, poetic lyrics, and a warm and engaging interpretation.
