Il ministro dell'agricoltura
le vacche fuorilegge ha dichiarato
e una taglia in premio ha stabilito
per ogni vacca che si ammazzerà.
Le vacche son colpevoli del fatto
che quest'anno ha fatto troppo latte
ed il signor ministro è preoccupato
perché c'è tanto burro accumulato.
Nel corso di una lunga riunione
con sottosegretari e americani,
del burro in primo luogo hanno parlato
di come potrebbe essere impiegato.
S'è alzato allora il primo cervellone
e ha detto: «Meglio farne del sapone».
Un altro dice: «No, lo distruggiamo,
se no alle vacche in pasto lo daremo».
Nessuno di quei grandi cervelloni
ha pensato al nostro meridione:
potrebbero mangiarselo i bambini,
i figli dei braccianti e contadini;
potrebbero i prezzi diminuire
e i salari fare aumentare,
e il burro si potrebbe comperare
la gente che oggi vive in povertà.
Sapete invece quale decisione
han preso quei signori cervelloni?
Alle vacche il burro fan mangiare
e le vacche poi fanno ammazzare.
Perciò la taglia in premio hanno messo
per ogni vacca che si abbatterà,
ma mi domando chi sarà mai fesso
che la vacca sua ammazzerà.
Un premio ci vorrebbe, ma la contrario,
per la vacca grassa più dotata,
che al signor ministro, grosso agrario,
darebbe una santissima scornata!
