{au Refrain,...}
Michel Berger, born Michel Jean Hamburger (Paris, 1953 – Paris, 1992), was a French singer-songwriter and record producer. Considered one of the greatest exponents of French pop music, he achieved success in the 1970s and 1980s with songs like "Lucie", "Le Paradis blanc" and "On ira". Berger collaborated with numerous artists, including France Gall, whom he was married to from 1980 to 1986. His music is characterized by catchy melodies, poetic lyrics and a clear influence of progressive rock. Besides composing for himself, Berger wrote songs for other artists, including Dalida and Sheila. Among his most important albums are "L'amour à la française" (1980) and "Michel Berger" (1982). His premature death at the age of 39 left a void in the French music scene.
