Carlo Alberto of Savoy-Carignano (Turin, November 6, 1798 – Turin, March 23, 1849) was King of Sardinia from April 27, 1831 to March 23, 1849. Son of Duke Charles Emmanuel of Carignano and Princess Maria Cristina of Saxony-Teschen, Carlo Alberto ascended the throne after the death of his elder brother Victor Emmanuel I.
