Cryptic Slaughter è stata una band di crossover thrash proveniente da Santa Monica, in California. Attiva tra la fine degli anni '80 e l'inizio degli anni '90, il gruppo ha contribuito a definire il suono aggressivo e veloce del genere, mescolando elementi di heavy metal, punk rock e hardcore. Conosciuti per le loro performance frenetiche e i testi provocatori, Cryptic Slaughter hanno pubblicato due album in studio: "...And Then There Were None" (1987) e "Live at the Whisky" (1989).
