Wardruna è un progetto musicale folk norvegese fondato nel 2003 da Einar "Kvitrafn" Selvik. Il nome del gruppo deriva dalla parola norrena "wardrún", che significa "rune di guerra". Il sound dei Wardruna si basa su strumenti tradizionali scandinavi, come il runestone, la cornamusa e il tamburello, combinati con elementi elettronici. Le loro canzoni sono spesso ispirate alla mitologia norrena e alla cultura pre-cristiana del nord Europa. Oltre a Selvik, nel corso degli anni hanno collaborato con diversi musicisti, tra cui Kristian Espedal (Gaahl) e Lindy Fay Hella. Wardruna ha pubblicato cinque album in studio: *Runaljotr* (2009), *Yggdrasil* (2013), *Skald* (2016), *Kvitravn* (2018) e *Ragnarok* (2021).
