Bob Seger, born Robert Clark Seger (Detroit, May 6, 1945), is an American singer-songwriter and musician known for his rock music. Growing up in Dearborn, Michigan, he began his musical career in the 1960s playing with various local bands like The Decibels, The Town Criers, and Doug Brown and the Omens. In 1965, he recorded his first single with the Omens. After gaining some popularity in Detroit, a city known for its vibrant music scene, Seger signed a record deal and released his debut album in 1968. His musical style, characterized by bluesy riffs, evocative lyrics, and catchy melodies, quickly won over a large audience. Among his most notable hits are "Night Moves", "Old Time Rock and Roll", "Against the Wind", and "Hollywood Nights". Seger is known for his energetic and engaging performances, often accompanied by his backing band, the Silver Bullet Band.
