Edge of Sanity is a Swedish progressive death metal band active from 1989 to 2004 and reunited in 2016. The group has released seven studio albums, blending elements of death metal with progressive, jazz, and even electronic influences. Edge of Sanity's complex and experimental sound was heavily influenced by bands like Dream Theater and Opeth. The frontman and main composer is Dan Swanö, also known for his solo work and other musical projects. Some of their most representative tracks include "The Unseen", "Crimson", and "In the Name of God". Their debut album "Within Creation" (1992) is considered a classic of the progressive death metal genre, while "Infernal" (1996) cemented the band's fame.
