Paul Frederic Simon (Newark, October 13, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, musician, and actor. Known for his successful solo career that began in the 1970s after the success of the duo Simon and Garfunkel, Simon has won numerous Grammy Awards and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
