L'Accusa
Durante gli interrogatori è riuscito
che le imputate
in tempo di luna al primo quarto
hanno rinunziato al sacramento

a commettere tale mancamento
permettendo per maggiore dannazione

La sentenza
Visto il processo
coi testimoni esaminati
dove manifestamente si comprova
il corpo dei diversi delitti
per essere stati commessi
viste le dottissime difese
per psarte delle dette rappresentate
viste finalmente
le cose che devono vedersi
e considerate
quelle che devono essere considerate
avuto il parere decisivo
dei molti illustri e chiari signori
commissari di questa giurisdizione
affinché non abbiano a gloriarsi
delle loro pessime opere
ad esempio di altri
in via definitiva
sentenziamo e condanniamo.
Il 14 aprile 1647, nel luogo designato
davanti ai contadini obbligati ad assistere al supplizio
vengono decapitate:
Lucia Caveden, Domenica, Isabetta e Polonia Graziadei,
Caterina Baroni, Ginevra Chemola e Valentina Andrei
i corpi sono bruciati, i resti seppelliti alle Giarre in terra maledetta.
I beni delle donne confiscati.
