Dalida iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '50, cantando canzoni italiane e francesi. Il suo successo internazionale arrivò con l'album "Salomé" (1968), che includeva il brano "Bambino", diventato un classico mondiale. Dalida ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi compositori del tempo, tra cui Charles Aznavour, Luigi Tenco e Ennio Morricone. La sua musica spaziava dal pop al jazz, passando per l'operetta e la chanson francese. Tra i suoi brani più famosi ricordiamo "Ciao amore ciao", "Parlez-moi d'amour" e "J'ai encore rêvé d'elle".
