Helena Paparizou (Athens, 1982) is a Greek-Swedish singer and songwriter of international fame. Born in Athens to Greek parents who emigrated to Sweden, she began her musical career at the age of 16 by participating in Swedish television programs. In 2005, she represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "My Number One", finishing second and launching herself onto the international scene. Her musical style is a mix of pop, dance and Balkan influences, characterized by a powerful voice and energetic performances. Among her most notable successes are "Gioupi Gioupi", "Ase Me", "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" and "The One I Love". Paparizou has collaborated with artists such as Nikos Vertis, Sakis Rouvas and the Swedish band Alcazar.
