Damian Robert Nesta Marley, born in Kingston, Jamaica, on July 21, 1978, is a Jamaican singer, musician, and record producer, also known by the stage name Junior Gong. Son of legendary Bob Marley and model Cindy Breakspeare, Damian inherited his father's passion for reggae music and began performing at age 13. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Nas, Lauryn Hill, Stephen Marley, and the American hip hop group The Fugees. His debut album, "Welcome to Jamrock", released in 2005, was an international success, reaching number one on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Among his most famous songs are "Welcome to Jamrock", "Road to Zion", and "The Struggle Is Real". Damian Marley is considered one of the leading figures of the new generation of reggae artists, capable of blending diverse musical influences such as hip hop, dancehall, and electronic music.
