Federico Fiumani (Rome, 1960) is an Italian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and writer. He is known for being the founder and frontman of Diaframma, a musical group active from 1982 to 1995 and again from 2003 to present. Fiumani is the author of all Diaframma songs, characterized by an alternative rock sound with post-punk influences and Italian songwriting. Among the most representative tracks are «La mia vita», «Il cielo in una stanza», «Non c'è niente da fare» and «Un giorno». Fiumani has collaborated with various artists, including Francesco De Gregori and Vinicio Capossela. Besides music, Fiumani is also a respected writer. He has published several novels and short story collections.
