Donald Jay Fagen (born January 10, 1948) is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and record producer. Known for his distinctive vocal style and intricate musical compositions, Fagen is primarily recognized as the co-founder and main member of Steely Dan, a rock progressive/jazz fusion band active from 1971 to 1981 and sporadically thereafter.
