Young Heart Attack (YHA) is a high-energy rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 2001. The group consists of Chris "Frenchie" Smith (guitar and vocals), Steven T. Hall (bass), and Joey Shuffield (drums). Smith and Hall previously played together in the Sixteen Deluxe, while Shuffield was known for his work with Fastball. YHA is characterized by an energetic and melodic rock sound, influenced by the post-grunge and hard rock of the 1990s.
