The New Trolls are an Italian musical group formed in Milan in 1967. Considered pioneers of Italian progressive rock, they have gone through various stylistic phases, from the psychedelic pop-rock of their beginnings to the more complex and experimental prog of the seventies. Among the founding members were Vincenzo Incenzo (vocals), Gianni Belleno (guitar), Riccardo Fogli (keyboards) and drummer Maurizio Solieri. Over the course of their career, they have released numerous successful albums, including "Quella strana sensazione" (1970), "Concerto per un'orchestra rock" (1972) and "Il libro dei sogni" (1973). The New Trolls are known for their energetic and innovative live performances, characterized by complex arrangements and a strong theatrical component. Among the most representative songs are "T'amo", "La mia banda suona il rock", "Il libro dei sogni" and "Quella strana sensazione". After a break in the eighties, the group resumed musical activity in the following decade with a renewed lineup. The New Trolls have left a significant mark on the history of Italian music, influencing generations of musicians and contributing to the spread of progressive rock culture in Italy.
