Sun didn't rise this morning
Not a sign come noon
Heard the noise of a thousand voices
But no one else was in my room
Reached for my holy bible
But it seems as though i've lost my ways
Don't want no superstition to carry me down
Got the devil grinning in my face
Make me a pallet on your floor
Mama tell me what to do
Won't serve it to me right
C'mon and bring me good news
Help me get rid of these blues
Got me stuck by the wayside
In the wee wee hours
Won't you spare this denier
From the brimstone and the fire
Lord won't you give me power
Don't want no angel to lay me away
No saint to worry my ol' mind
Write me no death letter
Bound for worse and not better
Jesus don't leave me behind
No i don't need no head stone
Or writings on my grave
Break 'em on down - shake 'em on down
Lord knows i can't be saved
I'll never pray for no mercy no more
Or make amendments for my ways
I got time to reconsider
While i stay there and wither
With the devil grinning in my face
Hellacopters are a Swedish garage rock band formed in Stockholm in 1994. The group, consisting of Nicke Andersson (vocals, guitar), Dregen (guitar), Robert Eriksson (bass) and Kenny HÃ¥kansson (drums), achieved considerable international success in the 1990s and 2000s with their energetic sound and irresistible guitar riffs. Influenced by bands like The Stooges, MC5 and Kiss, Hellacopters released seven studio albums, including "High Voltage Blues" (1997), "Payin' the Price" (2000) and "By the Grace of God". Their musical style is characterized by a mix of hard rock, punk rock and glam rock, with often ironic and self-deprecating lyrics. After a hiatus in 2008, the band reunited sporadically for live concerts in recent years. Some of the group's most representative songs include "I'm in Love with You", "Gotta Get Away" and "The King of Rock 'n' Roll".

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
