No spare parts

(jagger/richards)

Baby, baby, baby, baby...

Daddy drunk, daddy drunk himself to death
When he was thirty-five years old
Left five daughters an book em on the cayman row
Put em down an left an he left all pain to me
An a pullin outta dallas
An the dirt back in tennessee

So I called big sister on the telephone
I said how yall down there in ere call thome
Girl you wont starve for fortune and fame
To earn big money in dallas and make her name

Lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
There aint no spare parts
Aint no oil to change

Honey, I aint accustomed to lose
If I want somethin bad
I always find a way to get thru

I tell ya somethin
I aint accustomed tlose
If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get thru

Lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
There aint no spare parts
Aint no oil to change

I could be there thanksgiving afternoon
With a turkey in mhand
And ah oughta buy a bottle o boo...
I took a short cut about a quarter down
The turnpike road
And Ill fill er up with gas
Ahm a fill er bout san antone
An Ill make it tdallas bout a quarter pa...half past three
Just another 30 miles
On the road back to 443

You know, lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
There aint no spare parts
There aint no oil to change

I tell ya
I aint accustomed to lose
If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it, baby
Including you

I tell ya something
I aint ever gonna lose
If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it, baby
Including you

I could be there thanksgiving afternoon
If I start off now put my foot down the floor, damn too

I spoke to big sister on the telephone
She said come on big brother
Why dont you come on back home

I said, lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
There aint no spare parts
Aint no oil to change

I tell ya, honey
I aint accustomed to lose
If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it, mmmmm
Talkin bout you

If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it dont i?

If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it dont i?

If I want somethin strong enough
I always find a way to get it

Baby! shoo-gahh!
Ahhhh, yah, yah, yah...

Tell ya somethin, babe
I aint accustomed to lose

If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it

If I want somethin bad enough
I always find a way to get it

Lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
There aint no spare parts
There aint no oil to change

Lonely hearts
Theyre just made to break
Aint no spare parts
There aint no oil to change

Now, im, Im a-comin back
Comin back ahome thursday afternoon
If I dont tumble down hard
Really like a way to get thru

Biografia

The Rolling Stones are a legendary British rock band formed in London in 1962. Composed of Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Ronnie Wood (guitar) and Charlie Watts (drums, deceased in 2021), the Rolling Stones have dominated the music scene for over half a century. The classic lineup also included Bill Wyman (bass, retired in 1993) and Brian Jones (multi-instrumentalist, died in 1969). After Jones' death, Mick Taylor took his place until 1974. Considered one of the most influential bands in rock history, the Rolling Stones are known for their blues-infused hard rock sound and lascivious rhythms. Their songs often tackle themes of sex, drugs, social unrest and politics, becoming an icon of rebellion and freedom. Some of their most representative tracks include '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction', 'Jumpin' Jack Flash', 'Sympathy for the Devil' and 'Paint It Black'. Essential albums include 'Let It Bleed', 'Sticky Fingers' and 'Exile on Main St.', which have helped define the evolution of rock over the years.
