Paul McCartney ends up on stamps

In England there are institutions that are untouchable, first of all Queen Elizabeth II who reigns undisputed in the beating heart of every Englishman, then there are the Beatles, and that's the reason why they were awarded the title of baronets. They made the history of music both as a band as well as singles and it is precisely for this reason that the British postal service has decided to launch a line of stamps to celebrate the career of Paul McCartney.

The entire collection was born thanks to the collaboration with the former Beatles himself and it will be possible to purchase it starting next May 28th, but it can already be pre-ordered on the official website of the Royal Mail. There will be 12 postages in total, of which 8 will reproduce the covers of some McCartney albums as a soloist, the other 4 are portraits of the same artist realized in the studio.
The stamps will certainly appeal to any collector, they are very accurate in detail and graphically they are impeccable.

David Gold of the Royal Mail was keen to specify the reason for this choice, in an interview he stated that "Paul McCartney remains a vital figure at the center of rock and pop, an artist with an immense legacy. This line of stamps is a fitting tribute to one of the UK's most loved and revered musical icons ".

Certainly the release is also intended to celebrate Paul's latest effort, his new album "McCartney III imagined" was released about two weeks ago, which includes covers and remixes of the previous album. Also for this production he collaborated with several artists such as Damon Albarn of Blur and Phoebe Bridgers.

We will see which other artist, England will decide to celebrate, bets are accepted, maybe it will be the turn of the Rolling Stones or the more recent Coldplay.
