Pinback is an indie rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1998 by Armistead Burwell Smith IV and Rob Crow, both singers, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists. The current lineup also includes drummers Chris Prescott and Tom Zinser, who alternate performances. Over the years, Pinback has featured other musicians such as Terrin Durfey, Eric Hoversten, Ryan Bromley, Cameron Jones, Kenseth Thibideau, Gabriel Voiles, MC, Dmitri Dziensuwski, Donny Van Zandt, and Thatcher Orbitachi. The band is known for its intricate melodies, sophisticated arrangements, and introspective lyrics.
