One minute wasted on the train
I could have leapt off and come running back again
You slipped and he was there to take my place
In one minute wasted on the train
I claimed a window near the bar
I laughed to myself "just hang my name above that car"
Eyes caught the exit so I closed them hard
I let you go and there you are
One minute wasted on the train
I saw you see him for the first time
I was so briefly out of frame
But dear I blame nobody but myself this time
Not sure I even have to go
But when I get there I'll find someone else to know
We all want the same things just a different dose
And some have the luxury of hope
One minute wasted on the train
The seat was saved but I'm afraid that call's expired
The choices we make here are strange
I'm on delay until you declare the end this time
I'm standing by
One minute wasted on the train
I saw you see him for the first time
I was so briefly out of frame
But dear I blame nobody but myself this time
