Lokua Kanza, pseudonimo di Pascal Lokua Kanza, è un cantante e compositore congolese nato a Kinshasa nel 1964. Considerato uno dei più importanti esponenti della musica soukous contemporanea, ha raggiunto fama internazionale grazie alla sua voce potente e melodie coinvolgenti. Inizia la sua carriera negli anni '80 suonando con diverse band locali prima di formare il suo gruppo, Lokua Kanza and The African Jazz Orchestra. Nel 1995 pubblica l'album "Le Chant du Congo", che lo consacra come artista di successo. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti internazionali come Youssou N'Dour e Salif Keita.
