Pepe Aguilar, stage name of José Antonio Aguilar Jiménez, is a Mexican singer and musician born in Los Angeles, California, in 1968. Son of the renowned singer Antonio Aguilar, Pepe inherited a passion for traditional Mexican music, particularly the *ranchera* genre. He began his musical career at the age of seven, performing with his father and appearing on Mexican television programs. In 1985 he released his debut album, "Pepe Aguilar", followed by a string of successes that established him as one of the most important contemporary *ranchera* artists. Aguilar is known for his powerful voice, energetic performances, and lyrics that celebrate Mexican identity. Among his most famous songs are "Por Mujeres Como Tú", "La Llorona" and "Miedo a Amarte". He has collaborated with artists from different generations, including Joan Sebastian, Vicente Fernández and Natalia Lafourcade. Aguilar has won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards and several Latin Grammy Awards.
