Pepe Aguilar, pseudonimo di José Antonio Aguilar Jiménez, è un cantante e musicista messicano nato a Los Angeles, California, nel 1968. Figlio del celebre cantante Antonio Aguilar, Pepe ha ereditato la passione per la musica tradizionale mexicana, in particolare il genere *ranchera*. Ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'età di sette anni, esibendosi con il padre e partecipando a programmi televisivi messicani. Nel 1985 ha pubblicato il suo primo album, "Pepe Aguilar", seguito da una serie di successi che lo hanno consacrato come uno dei più importanti artisti del genere *ranchera* contemporaneo. Aguilar è noto per la sua potente voce, le sue performance energiche e i testi che celebrano l'identità messicana. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "Por Mujeres Como Tú", "La Llorona" e "Miedo a Amarte".
