Julia Fordham is a British singer-songwriter born on August 10, 1962, in Portsmouth, England. She began her musical career in the early 1980s under the name «Jules Fordham» as a backing vocalist for artists like Mari Wilson and Kim Wilde. In 1987, she released her self-titled debut album, which achieved moderate success in Europe. Her music is characterized by sophisticated pop melodies, influenced by jazz and soul. Among her most notable songs are «Happy In Blue», «Falling Away From Me» and «The Way I Feel». Fordham has collaborated with several artists, including Elton John and Phil Collins. After a period of hiatus, she returned to recording new albums in the 2000s.
