The Woodoo Dolls are an Italian musical group formed in the Canavese region in 2005. The initial idea, conceived by singer Maurizio, saxophonist Antonio and trumpeter Marco, was to create a band that, despite including brass instruments, would not be limited to ska. The lineup was completed with Roberto on drums, Andrea on guitar and Tony on bass (who, like Sid Vicious, learned to play specifically for the band). The first rehearsals took place in Roberto's garage. Subsequently, Lorenzo joined as a second vocalist, but Maurizio and Andrea left the group, leaving the formation with only one singer and no guitarist. Fabrizio briefly replaced Andrea, then Matteo permanently assumed his role. In 2009 Antonio left the band and Simone, bassist of GEFS, joined the group. The Woodoo Dolls are known for their energetic ska-punk sound and engaging live performances.
