Everytime i'm left alone
My misery begins to drown me
Tied by a rope of anxiety
Thrown overboard
As i'm pulled under the tides of this fast paced world
I refuse to see
(Chorus)
Time will always be the thing that kills me truly
Open these eyes waking from a dream feigning
My lungs fill up with letdown
Disapointement in self and everyone
Expectation died in failure
abandonment my unsavior
As i'm pulled under the tides of this fast paced world
I refuse to see
(Chorus)
Absolution at the sight of your demise
I know what I must do
Choke
Die choking on your every word
Swallow every blasphemy
Absolution at the sight of your demise
I know what I must do
Swallow every blasphemy
Eat out your heart and make it bleed
Tie the noose around my neck
Make this life end
Trivium is an American metalcore band formed in Orlando, Florida in 2000. Their debut album, *Ember to Inferno*, was released in 2003 and marked the beginning of their rise to prominence. Success came with their second album, *Ascendancy* (2005), whose track "Washing Away Me in the Tides" was included in the soundtrack of the film *Underworld: Evolution* in 2006. In 2006, the album *The Crusade* achieved commercial success, charting in both American and British charts and achieving silver certification in the UK after selling 60,000 copies in a single day. This album, however, sparked controversy among fans who accused the band of abandoning their metalcore sound in favor of more mainstream thrash metal or alternative metal sounds, reminiscent of Metallica. Trivium continues to be one of the most influential and popular metalcore bands in the world, with a loyal following and a discography rich in critically acclaimed albums.
