Underground Kingz (UGK) was a hip-hop duo formed in Texas in 1987 by Chad "Pimp C" Butler and Bernard "Bun B" Freeman. Considered pioneers of Southern rap, they helped define the Texan sound with realistic lyrics and heavy beats. Among their most important albums are *Too Hard to Swallow* (1994), *Ridin' Dirty* (1996) and *Dirty Money* (2007).
