I hear you got problems, feelin' sad
They say that it hurt you, it made you feel bad
Don't stop livin' cause what comes up was once down
Just stop given your love to someone else
So think of Red Skies
And clouds that drift by
And the time that we've had
In the fields of tall grass
Just think about it
I want you to lay right back down
And just live around it
And I'll give you private pleasures
And warm Spanish treasures
And time you can't measure
Tonight
So think of Red Skies
And clouds that drift by
And you'll find what I'm saying
Doesn't come from just playin'
Just think about it
I want you to lay right back down
And just live around it
I will give you deepest springs
And the sweet bluebirds will sing
And the country church bells will ring
For you
Tommy Bolin (1951-1976) was an American guitarist considered one of the most talented and influential of his time. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, he began playing guitar at age 10, showing natural talent from the start. After playing in several local bands, he moved to Los Angeles in 1972 to pursue a more ambitious musical career. During his short but intense career, Bolin collaborated with artists like James Gang and Deep Purple, helping define the hard rock sound of the 1970s. His guitar technique was characterized by a blend of bluesy virtuosity and progressive influences, with a strong emphasis on improvisation. Among his most representative songs are "Post Toastie", "The Road Goes On Forever" and "Smoke on the Water". Sadly, his career was cut short by a heroin overdose in 1976 at the age of 25. Bolin's death left an unfillable void in the rock music scene.
