Jawbox was an alternative rock band from Washington, D.C.. Formed in the 1990s, the group consisted of J. Robbins (vocals and guitar), Bill Barbot (guitar), Kim Coletta (bass) and Adam Wade (drums). Jawbox gained a cult following thanks to their energetic and complex sound, influenced by post-hardcore and noise rock music. The band was active until 1996, releasing three studio albums: *Jawbox* (1992), *Novelty* (1994) and *Brace Yourself* (1995). Their most notable tracks include "Category", "Savvy", and "The Fire". After disbanding, the members of Jawbox continued to collaborate in other musical projects.
