E ti ascolti respirare Forse ti accorgi pure tu
Don Cosimo Schena (Brindisi, June 1st, 1979) is an Italian priest, clinical psychologist, philosopher, and writer. Considered one of the most followed voices in digital spiritual communication in Italy, Don Cosimo began his religious career after leaving his studies in computer engineering at the age of 22. He was ordained a priest on June 4th, 2009, and is currently the parish priest of the church of San Francesco d'Assisi in Brindisi. In addition to his pastoral work, Don Cosimo holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Verona and a doctorate from the Pontifical Lateran University with a thesis on Simone Weil. He also obtained a degree in clinical and dynamic psychology and a specialization in psychotherapy, thus integrating theological, philosophical, and psychological skills into his ministry and accompaniment activities. Don Cosimo is known for his presence on social media, where he has over one million followers across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X. His digital influence stems from short poems and reflections that have become, over time, a listening post and source of comfort for thousands of people, especially young people. Author of numerous books spanning spirituality, narrative, and poetry, Don Cosimo published "Da quando ti ho trovato. Una storia d'amore, fede e amicizia" in 2025 with Piemme, written in collaboration with his dog Tempesta. The volume tells the story of meeting a stray dog as an opportunity for healing, rebirth, and new hope for those who experience fragility and loneliness. Don Cosimo is also known for his Christmas collections and stories, such as "Fantastici racconti di Natale", where he combines attention to the less fortunate, the magic of Christmas, and concrete commitment in support of the poor, women in difficulty, and animals. He lives with his two dogs, Tempesta and Baloo, who have become integral parts of his ministry and narrative imagination. In his stories, care for animals and the defense of their rights intertwine with the Gospel of mercy and a spirituality close to everyday life. Between parish work, clinical studies, writing, and music, Don Cosimo carries out a simple and radical mission: to remind each of us that wounds are not the end of the story, but the place where love can begin again.
