John Cameron Fogerty (Berkeley, 28 gennaio 1945) è un cantautore, chitarrista e produttore discografico statunitense, noto soprattutto per essere stato il leader e principale compositore del gruppo rock Creedence Clearwater Revival. Nato in California, Fogerty iniziò a suonare la chitarra all'età di dieci anni, influenzato dal rock and roll degli anni '50 e dalla musica folk americana. Nel 1967 formò i Creedence Clearwater Revival con suo fratello Tom (batteria), Stu Cook (basso) e Doug Clifford (percussioni). Il gruppo raggiunse il successo internazionale negli anni '70 con un sound caratterizzato da riff bluesy, testi evocativi di vita rurale americana e una forte componente folk-rock.
