Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen, known simply as Bruce Springsteen, is an American singer-songwriter and musician born in Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1949. Considered one of the greatest rock songwriters of all time, Springsteen is famous for his epic-narrative songs that tell the everyday lives of Americans, often focusing on themes of work, the working class, and love. His music combines elements of rock and roll, folk, country, and blues, creating a powerful and engaging sound. Springsteen began his career in the 1960s, gaining popularity in the 1970s with albums like *Born to Run* (1975) and *Darkness on the Edge of Town* (1978). He achieved international success with the album *The River* (1980), which cemented his status as a superstar. Among his most famous songs are "Born to Run", "Thunder Road", "Dancing in the Dark", "Glory Days" and "The Rising".
