Manilla Road è stato un gruppo musicale heavy metal statunitense formatosi a Wichita, Kansas nel 1977. Considerati pionieri del genere power metal, hanno influenzato numerose band successive con il loro sound epico e le liriche fantasy. Il gruppo era guidato dal carismatico cantante e chitarrista Mark Shelton, noto per la sua voce potente e le melodie memorabili. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Metal Warriors", "The Deluge" e "Crystal Logic". Manilla Road ha pubblicato una decina di album in studio tra il 1980 e il 2006, ottenendo un seguito fedele nel mondo metal. Shelton è morto nel 2018, lasciando un'eredità musicale duratura.
