Gar mächtig ist das Wort, erst recht, wenn man glauben will
Und Glaube lässt den Seher erblinden
So glaubte ich, dann tat nichts mehr als beten
Und trug all mein Hab und Gut zum Berg des Propheten
Gab lachend alles auf, um die Welt zu betreten
In der nur die Glücklichen lebten
In dieser Welt des Glücks traf ich nur meinesgleichen
In Lumpen gehüllt, mit hungrigem Blick
Unser Glaube verfiel, unsere Haare ergrauten
Von ferne ein Lachen, an das wir einst glaubten
Verschwunden der Prophet
Verzweifelt wir beraubten, die wir so blind vertrauten
