Le Orme are an Italian progressive rock band from Venice. Formed in the early 1960s as a beat group, they underwent a transformation in the 1970s, embracing more elaborate and experimental sounds. Considered pillars of Italian progressive rock, Le Orme have managed to combine catchy melodies with complex structures and a clear jazz influence. Their sound is characterized by virtuoso keyboards, melodic guitars, and a solid rhythm section. Their debut album was released in 1973, followed by successes like "Angeli" (1974) and "Uomo di fumo" (1975).
