Prong is an American industrial metal band formed in New York City in 1986 by Tommy Victor (vocals, guitar) and Ted Parsons (drums). Considered pioneers of industrial metal, they have influenced numerous subsequent bands with their aggressive and experimental sound. Over the years, the lineup has changed several times, but Victor remains the only original member still present. Among their most representative songs are "Snap Your Fingers", "Beg to Differ" and "Cut Rate". Their debut album "Force of Habit" (1989) marked a turning point for the genre, introducing hardcore punk elements to industrial metal. Prong continues to be active today, releasing new albums and touring worldwide.
