Somebody's angry
Somebody's hurting
They didn't look you in the eye
So now you're worried
There's a corner
Where you used to meet your friends
But it's gone now
These days it feels like nothing seems to mend
Always, always
Always, always
Send a note out
Tell them how you feel
Send a note out
You know that something's needed
Send a note out
I'm going to write it down
Don't need no Valentine's Day
I'm going to tell you I feel now
Gonna say what I'm gonna say
Always, always
Always, always
Send a note out
Tell them how you feel
Send a note out
You know that something's needed
Send a note out
Some houses and special things
Can slip away with a cold hard wind
A cold hard wind
I don't love you any more
That's the worst thing I could ever say
So if it's something that I'm thinking
If it's something that I'm feeling...
Always, always
Always, always
Send a note out
Tell them how you feel
Send a note out
You know that something's needed
Send a note out
Deacon Blue is a Scottish band formed in Glasgow during the 1980s. Led by talented songwriter Ricky Ross, the group achieved international success with their debut album *Raintown* (1987), which spent over 16 months on the British charts. The album, focused on life in urban Scotland, spawned three top ten hits: "Loaded", "Chocolate Girl" and "Dignity". Their second album, *When The World Knows Your Name* (1989), although more commercially successful, did not receive the same critical acclaim. Some critics accused the band of succumbing to pop success at the expense of artistic integrity. Nevertheless, the public embraced the album, which reached number one on the British charts and produced three top forty hits: "Real Gone Kid", "Fergus Sings the Blues" and "Wages Day". Deacon Blue is considered one of the most important bands in the Scottish music scene of the 1980s.
