Gli Smash Mouth sono un gruppo rock statunitense formatosi nel 1994 a San Jose, in California. La formazione originale comprendeva Steve Harwell (voce), Paul De Lisle (basso), Michael Krompass (chitarra) e Randy Cooke (batteria). Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da una fusione di power pop, ska e rock alternativo, con influenze punk e surf rock. Il successo internazionale arrivò nel 1997 con il singolo "Walkin' on the Sun", estratto dall'album omonimo.
