Trisomie 21 is a French punk rock band formed in 1981 in Denain by brothers Hervé and Philippe Lomprez. Considered pioneers of the French punk movement, they gained some notoriety in the 1980s for their energetic music and engaging live performances. The band's name refers to Down syndrome, chosen to highlight their rejection of social conventions and the inclusion of different people. Trisomie 21 has released several albums, including "Le Grand Délire" (1983) and "L'Amour est un Combat" (1985), which helped define the sound of French punk.
