The Ark are a Swedish glam rock band active from 1991 to 2011. Formed in Stockholm, the group achieved great success in Sweden and other European countries thanks to their energetic sound and theatrical performances. Their musical style is characterized by influences of hard rock, punk and glam metal, with often provocative and ironic lyrics. Among The Ark's most famous songs are "The Pox", "It's a Jungle Out There" and "Love is a Bitch". The album "We Are the Ones" (2001) is considered one of their most important works, reaching number one on the Swedish charts. After over 20 years of career, The Ark officially disbanded in 2011 with a farewell concert at Gröna Lund in Stockholm.
