Roxette is a Swedish pop rock duo formed in 1986 by Per Gessle (guitar, vocals) and Marie Fredriksson (vocals). Their international success came in the 1990s with albums like "Look Sharp!" (1988) and "Joyride" (1991), which sold millions of copies worldwide. Their most famous songs include "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love" and "Spending My Time". Fredriksson's ethereal voice, combined with Gessle's catchy melodies, made Roxette one of the most beloved pop artists of the decade. After a long hiatus, in 2016 Per Gessle announced the end of the band due to Marie Fredriksson's illness, who died in 2019.
