Awakened from our beds
The roll call must commence
And memories of a long forgotten song
Remain there, and they stay there
It's a race we must run to the place where the drums
Never fade, seek a soul and live...
(Chorus)
Sinking or swimming, swimming in women
You've got to learn to take the knocks
Winners and losers, passion abusers
They masquerade as one of us
Sinking or swimming, swimming in women
Breaking like waves against the rocks
One million voices, too many choices,
You've got to line them up against the wall...
With colors so intense
She burns the evidence
And memories of a long forgotten song
Are eroded; now they're dead
It's a wonderous tale how we ever set sail
Sever sleep, take a soul and live...
(Chorus)
The race has begun now we shoot through the subway
You'll know when you see me for I shall be singing
There gathers a mass exodus on the carpet
A token of love, now she's mopping us up
The place we were headed before we were stopped is still waiting
(Chorus)
The stronger will rise and the weaker shall fall...
