Frank Black is the stage name of Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV, born April 6, 1965. Known for being the frontman of the Pixies, he embarked on a solo career after the band's breakup in 1993. Initially, he released two albums with the label 4AD, then formed Frank Black and the Catholics, a new musical project with a backing band.
